Here are four things that you need,
- A Mild soap
- Clean Water
- Tea tree oil
- Cotton balls or gauze pads
Step 1: Clean the skin around the skin tag
The first thing that you need to do is to clean the skin area around the skin tag. Use a mild soap with warm water and then pat it dry. Make sure that the area around the skin tag is clean. If it somewhere on your back where your hands might not reach comfortably; don’t hesitate to ask for help.
Step 2: Apply the Tea Tree Oil to the skin tag using a cotton bud
Take undiluted tea tree oil and use a dropper or straw to apply a few drops on a cotton ball or a gauze pad. Place it carefully on the skin tag and secure the cotton ball with Band-Aid. Gently wipe off the tea tree oil as rubbing too hard may cause irritation. Be more careful if the skin tag is near your eye to ensure that no oil gets in your eye.
Step 3: Leave to dry
Let the oil to dry naturally on your skin tag. It is important if you want the optimum results. If it’s convenient, you can also use medical tapes or a bandage to hold the cotton ball or gauze pad in place firmly to prolong contact time.
Step 4: Repeat as often as needed
Repeat this process at least three times daily. You need to be patient as it may take a number of days to get some noticeable improvements. Continue until the skin tag falls off. You can also do this right before you go to bed. Let your skin absorb maximum oil as you sleep. This method requires some patience and wait for around 2-3 weeks to see noticeable results. The skin tag will just dry up and fall off.
