Testosterone is the main hormone linked with strength gains, muscle mass, & sex drive. There are lots of pills out there promising to boost one’s natural production of testosterone. But do they really work? Natural test boosters make one’s body to produce more testosterone to aid support  &  muscle development.


There is a very long list of things that get better with age— like jeans, whiskey, & cheese, merely to name a few. But, getting older is not always a picnic. When it about aging & our bodies, we begin to see some not-so-favorable changes in strength & muscle mass as we pass through our third decade. What is to be blamed? Testosterone. 1):- D-ASPARTIC ACID (D-AA): It is a naturally occurring amino acid that is usually found in the testicular Leydig cells, where it becomes a messenger between one’s brain & Leydig cells to do the conversion of cholesterol to testosterone. As per theories, supplementing with D-AA increase T levels by improving all the messaging system between the brain & testes.

Scientists in Italy have coined that subjects who consumed merely 3 grams of D-AA for 12 days observed a 42 % increase in testosterone levels. The researchers have noted that the D-AA group yet had 22 % more testosterone than the placebo group 3 days after they halted supplementing. Conversely, a very recent article published in Nutrition Research has found no increase at all in testosterone levels in resistance-trained males after supplementing with three grams of D-AA for 28 days.

Why such a difference? The discrepancy in findings between such studies is likely owing to the initial training status & base testosterone levels of the subjects. While lots of research is warranted on this ingredient, D-AA is one of the lots of ingredients recommended to be effective in boosting test levels, particularly for older men whose all-natural testosterone levels have declined owing to the natural course of aging.

2):- FENUGREEK: Do not get confused by this name. There is nothing like Greek about this plant. In reality, it is produced primarily in India, but that is not an issue. We need to be more concerned with its properties than origins of it. Traditionally utilized in the preparation of curry powders, pickles, & pastes, studies are now examining Fenugreek for its anabolic properties.

A study done by the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Belton, Texas) has examined the effects of its supplementation on strength & body composition in resistance-trained men. Researchers have found that while both the placebo & fenugreek groups significantly increased their strength during the first five weeks, merely the fenugreek group saw great increases in strength after eight weeks of training & supplementation. This leads to the idea that fenugreek could aid one continue to increase strength after hitting any dreaded plateau. Furthermore, merely the fenugreek group saw significant increases in lean body mass as well at both four & eight weeks.

3):- ZMA: It is not a single ingredient itself, but it is a combination of magnesium aspartate, zinc monomethionine aspartate, & vitamin B-6. It is a recognizable name found on various supplement labels, including sleep aids as well as test boosters. Many usually used as a recovery aid to aid the body to achieve deeper levels of REM sleep, ZMA increases muscular strength & even enhance hormonal profiles.

It is not uncommon for athletes to suffer from zinc & magnesium deficiencies, partly owing to the inadequate replenishing of levels after heavy bouts of exercise. In placebo-controlled research, 27 Division II football players got either a placebo or any ZMA supplement for a total of six weeks during their scheduled spring practice. At the end of the six weeks, the players taking the ZMA supplement had a 30% increase in testosterone, while the placebo group had merely 10 % decrease. The ZMA group saw an 11.6 % increase in strength, as compared to merely 4.6 percent in the placebo group. Sleep better & get stronger—sounds much like a win-win to us!
