Whey Protein

Casein Protein

Soy Protein

With that in mind, soy protein is the typical choice for vegans as it is the only vegetable protein that is known to contain all of the essential amino acids. To put that simply: soy protein is perfect for those who want to grow muscle without the aid of any meat product.

There is no specified time to take soy protein, unlike whey and casein. It is not as important to monitor the timings, so it can be taken anytime throughout the day.

Ultimately, the style of protein you choose will depend on your dietary choices. A bodybuilder aiming for maximum muscle growth will want to combine whey protein and casein to make the most of protein synthesis. Meanwhile, vegetarians and vegans will generally go for soy as it helps build muscle without meat produce.
